Iron oxide nanoparticles as a source of iron in agrochemistry
One of the ingredients of complex fertilizers used in agriculture is iron. It is supplied to organisms in various forms: ionic (FeSO4 * 7H2O dissolved in water) or chelate (ligand-metal). Both forms differ in price and the degree of absorption of substances by plants. It is noted that the third form is iron oxide nanoparticles (maghemite and magnetite). Due to their size, they are easily absorbed by plants, and the additional possibility of encapsulating them with a compound suitable for a given plant makes this task easier.
By developing the magnetite production technology together with the IONSOL series products, Wion Technology enables fertilizer manufacturers to supplement their products with a source of iron in the form of magnetite coated with a substance selected for this purpose.

The iron content in iron (II, III) oxide produced by Wion Technology exceeds 70% by weight in the entire structure!
